Rename identifiers

Option: transforms.renameIdentifiers

What it changes

Renames bindings and labels with the configured string generator while avoiding name capture.

function compute(value, multiplier) {
  var scaled = value * multiplier;
  return scaled;
}
compute(3, 4);

function a(b, c) {
  var d = b * c;
  return d;
}
a(3, 4);

Run this transform by setting transforms.renameIdentifiers to true or an options object:

obfuscate.mjs

const output = obfuscate(source, {
  transforms: {
    renameIdentifiers: true,
  },
})

Pass { stringGeneratorMode } instead of true to override its generated string style.
